6. What goes through your mind as you see patients each day?
Even when two patients have the same condition, I have learned that the impact it has on their lives can be very different.
That is why I try to begin each consultation by understanding what concerns the patient most, what feels most uncomfortable to them, and what they would most like to improve.
At the end of each day, I also make a habit of reflecting on the care I provided.
“Did I explain everything clearly enough?”
“Was there a better approach I could have considered?”
These are questions I regularly ask myself.
And when necessary, I carry those reflections into the next visit and adjust the treatment plan accordingly.
For me, good dermatologic care is not about deciding on a plan once and simply following it. It is an ongoing process of observing how the patient responds, reassessing the situation, and making thoughtful adjustments along the way.
7. Dermatology trends are evolving rapidly. Which treatments are you currently most interested in, and where does your clinical experience lie?
I believe the trend in dermatology is gradually shifting away from trying to create a dramatic change with a single procedure and toward achieving natural improvements that build over time.
Throughout my practice, I have developed extensive clinical experience in pigmentation, skin regeneration, scar treatment, and anti-aging care.
I have personally performed more than 1,500 Ultherapy treatments, more than 1,500 Thermage treatments, more than 1,500 Rejuran treatments, and over 1,000 Titanium treatments.
More recently, I have been particularly interested in regenerative and anti-aging approaches that combine skin boosters with energy-based lifting treatments.
Rather than following a fixed combination or protocol, I focus on determining what each patient’s skin actually needs.
Skin condition, facial structure, previous treatments, downtime preferences, and the type of improvement the patient hopes to achieve can all influence the plan.
My priority is to bring these factors together and create an individualized treatment strategy designed to produce gradual, balanced, and natural-looking results.
8. Is there a particular patient experience that has stayed with you throughout your career as a dermatologist?
One patient I remember particularly well was preparing to return to the workforce after taking an extended career break.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, job opportunities had been limited, and when an important interview opportunity finally came along, she told me that she wanted to do everything she reasonably could to prepare herself.
We planned her treatments around the interview date, carefully considering the recovery time and what could realistically be achieved within the time available.
Together, we decided on the most appropriate approach for that particular moment.
Later, she contacted me personally to tell me that things had gone well.
I still remember how meaningful it felt to have been part of the process as she prepared for such an important moment in her life.
She has continued to visit me since then, which has made the experience even more memorable.
For me, it represents something beyond the outcome of a single treatment — the trust that can develop and continue over time between a patient and their dermatologist.
9. What moments in your practice bring you the greatest sense of happiness and fulfillment?
Naturally, I feel most rewarded when a treatment progresses well and produces the outcome we were hoping for.
I am especially happy when patients notice the changes themselves and tell me,
“I look better, but still natural.”
or
“People around me have been telling me that I look better.”
Those comments mean a great deal to me.
They tell me that the treatment plan I developed has translated into a result the patient can genuinely see and appreciate — without making them feel unlike themselves.
It is also deeply rewarding when patients choose to return or recommend me to their family members or friends.
In those moments, I feel that they are placing their trust not only in the result of a particular procedure, but also in the way I approach their care as a whole.
That trust is something I am always grateful for.
10. What is one promise you can make to every patient who comes to see you?
“I will assess carefully, explain thoroughly, and treat responsibly.”
I believe the best treatment plan begins with understanding both the patient’s current skin condition and what they genuinely hope to achieve.
My role is not simply to tell patients what procedure they should receive.
I want them to understand why a treatment is being recommended, what we are trying to improve, and what they can realistically expect from it so that they can make an informed and confident decision.
And my responsibility does not end when the procedure is finished.
I will continue to pay attention to the treatment process, the patient’s response, and the outcome, adjusting the plan when necessary.
Ultimately, I want to provide the kind of dermatologic care that patients can trust enough to return to — care built on careful assessment, clear communication, and a lasting sense of responsibility.
